MAM’s Montessori is located in the centre of Apeldoorn, in PCBO primary school Passe-Partout. Here, we have cosy living rooms that are attractively and warmly decorated. Thanks to the large windows and the shared central space, there is a nice connection with the school.
The cosy baby-toddler living room offers plenty of space for toddlers to explore: tigging, crawling, climbing and playing with materials appropriate to their development. In the on-site garden, the youngest children can explore: play in the sandbox, roll with the ball or practice on the bike. Inside and outside, we challenge children with carefully chosen play materials that match their world of experience and the Montessori vision.
The toddlers have a spacious room with inviting theme corners and space to get creative. Outside, we play in the green garden right next to our room.
After school, the children gather in the school’s central rooms for after-school care. There, there is space to relax, do crafts, cook or take part in a fun activity indoors or outdoors.
Through good cooperation with the primary school, we form an Integrated Child Centre (IKC) for children aged 0 to 13.
We regularly go out with our electric bus or cargo bike for a trip to the park or a fun activity in the neighbourhood. This way, we provide variety, exercise and new experiences in a safe and familiar environment.
Every child learns in a completely unique way. Moreover, every child is naturally curious and eager to learn, feeling a strong urge to grow, discover and learn. This inner urge was the inspiration for Italian physician and psychologist Maria Montessori to develop her own educational approach. In her vision, children are given all the space they need to develop naturally within a carefully prepared environment.

It is quite exciting when your child goes to childcare for the first time. It is therefore a nice idea to be sure that your baby will end up in a warm homely and safe environment, where they can develop in peace and quiet and feel at home.
When your son or daughter is 2 years old, they are big enough to move to the toddler group. Here, your child will learn more and more independence. It will learn to spread its own bread, put on its own coat and drink from a glass. Your child will also be offered ‘activities’ to do. We pay close attention to what your child likes or finds interesting, and what it can and wants to develop further.
If your son or daughter goes to primary school, you can come to us for pre- and/or after-school care. At BSO, the main focus is on feeling at home. After an intensive school day, your child is given the space to relax. For some, this means reading a book, while others like to climb a tree or play a game with others.
